Insurance for Business

Let’s get the scary part out of the way first – business insurance is a safeguard, a precaution, and a legal requirement.

So you know you have to have it, but you’re not quite sure what exactly it is you need, that’s where we can help. When it comes to business insurance you need to make sure every “i” is dotted and every “t” is crossed, it’s your livelihood and we don’t want you to have any nasty surprises, unlike one small electrical firm, who ended up with a hefty fine that closed down the business.

The electrical firm were forced to pay £17,500 in compensation to an employee, after an apprentice suffered an electric shock whilst at work.

The employer had not taken out employers’ liability insurance – a must if you employ staff – and when the Health & Safety Executive found out that this compulsory insurance had not been in place for at least 300 days, it also fined the employer £2,500 on top of the claim, for each day that he wasn’t insured correctly, forcing the business to cease trading.

This is an extreme case, but it demonstrates how serious a lack of adequate insurance can be, might we also add this particular business didn’t use Apollo for their insurance.

Over our 50 years in business, we’ve come to understand what businesses of all shapes and sizes need when it comes to insurance and we’ll only give you the “all singing and dancing” policy if you need it, if you only require one element of our service then we’ll gladly tell you.We want to build relationships that last and are built on trust, not grab the money and run.
